Beatrice Jezic-Oesch, 1924 – 2022

With sadness, we want to inform the entire Jungian community that in the early hours of Sunday, February 6th, 2022, our beloved Beatrice Jezic-Oesch undertook her last journey.
Born in Bern on January 31st, 1924, she lived in Denia for a quarter of her life, her final years.
Each of us has shared a lot with her, much of our lives and hers. A lot or a little, it has always been good. That’s why we will miss her.
As for our society, we want to remember her work, her collaboration in very difficult times and of course also in very happy and rich moments.
She collaborated, taught, gave innumerable courses, and accompanied all of us with enormous generosity, with a kind of wisdom that could be called light, without weight.

Her African soul, fruit of the years she lived there, was always present in her and in fact impressed us with a certain way of doing, with her way of expressing her emotions, closer to our instincts. It gave us a gush of inner freedom, a certain natural insight to work with the extremely vibrant unconscious.

She worked to make our society, in her words, “a happy and hard-working tribe.” In many things, she has achieved her mission. Let us do our best to continue with the task she has entrusted to us.
May her final resting place be the most beautiful, as her life has been beautiful.

Rest in peace.
