ISAP lost a precious part of its community on August 8, 2025, with the passing of DIANE COUSINEAU BRUTSCHE. After a two-year struggle with cancer, she was released from her suffering in the presence of her beloved Paul and daughter Jackie. Diane was a founding member of ISAP and a revered teacher, supervisor and training analyst. She most recently taught at ISAP just three months ago in May on ‘Lady Soul’ and had been working on a book about Job and evil. She is the author of “Le paradoxe de l’âme : Exil et retour d’un archetype” (“The paradox of the soul: Exile and return of an archetype”) published in French, her mother tongue, by Georg Editeur, in 1993.

Diane served on many committees at ISAP including the IC as Vice President and the Admission Committee. She was also a member of the AGAP Executive Committee at the founding of ISAP and was instrumental in the transition from the CG Jung Institute, Küsnacht, where she trained during 1986–1992, to ISAPZURICH. She was born in Montreal, Canada in 1944. She has a PhD in French literature from the University of Paris. She worked in private practice in Zürich during 1992–2025.

Diane will be remembered for her loving way and unflinching warmth and relatedness in all situations. She was a dear, dear soul and will be painfully missed by those of us who loved her and were loved by her.

ISAP hat am 8. August 2025 mit dem Tod von DIANE COUSINEAU BRUTSCHE einen wertvollen Teil seiner Gemeinschaft verloren. Nach einem zweijährigen Kampf gegen den Krebs wurde sie in Anwesenheit ihres geliebten Paul und ihrer Tochter Jackie von ihrem Leiden erlöst. Diane war Gründungsmitglied von ISAP und eine hochgeschätzte Lehrerin, Supervisorin und Ausbildungsanalytikerin. Zuletzt unterrichtete sie vor drei Monaten im Mai an der ISAP zum Thema „Lady Soul” und arbeitete an einem Buch über Hiob und das Böse. Sie ist Autorin des Buches „Le paradoxe de l’âme : Exil et retour d’un archetype” („Das Paradox der Seele: Exil und Rückkehr eines Archetyps”), das 1993 in ihrer Muttersprache Französisch bei Georg Editeur erschienen ist.

Diane war in vielen Kommissionen am ISAP tätig, darunter als Vizepräsidentin des IC und in der Aufnahmekommission. Sie war auch Mitglied des AGAP-Vorstands bei der Gründung von ISAP und massgeblich am Übergang vom CG Jung-Institut in Küsnacht, wo sie von 1986 bis 1992 ausgebildet wurde, zur ISAPZURICH beteiligt. Sie wurde 1944 in Montreal, Kanada, geboren. Sie hat einen Doktortitel in französischer Literatur von der Universität Paris. Von 1992 bis 2025 arbeitete sie in ihrer Privatpraxis in Zürich.

Diane wird uns wegen ihrer liebevollen Art und ihrer unerschütterlichen Herzlichkeit und Verbundenheit in allen Situationen in Erinnerung bleiben. Sie war ein lieber, lieber Mensch und wird von uns, die wir sie geliebt haben und von ihr geliebt wurden, schmerzlich vermisst werden.
