We hope you will enjoy this inspiring portrait of John Hill by Lavinia Tanculescu.
Life has been exceedingly generous to me, and for this, I remain deeply grateful. Among the many gifts bestowed upon me within the Jungian world, perhaps the most profound has been the privilege of encountering remarkable individuals—people whose essence ranges from the refreshing vitality they embody to the enigmatic exoticism that lingers even after my projections have withdrawn.
Mr. John Hill is one of those rare souls who seems to weave together light and shadow, doubt and devotion, with a monastic simplicity yet with a complexity that is nothing short of exotic.
Born in 1943 in Dublin, Ireland, John’s personal and professional journey has been deeply intertwined with spiritual pursuits. He earned his degrees in philosophy from the University of Dublin and the Catholic University of America. His training as a Jungian analyst took place at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, where he has practiced since 1973 and currently serves as a Training Analyst at ISAPZurich. John has also served as the IAAP Liaison for Georgia and has played pivotal roles in performances centered on The Jung/White Letters, The Jung/Neumann Letters, and The Red Book. His scholarly contributions include works on the Association Experiment, Celtic Myth, James Joyce, dreams, and Christian mysticism. His first book, At Home in the World: Sounds and Symmetries of Belonging, is now at its second edition with Chiron Publications.
