John O. Affleck | April 24, 1946 – June 16, 2017

It is with a very sad heart that I must tell you of the death of our dear friend and colleague John Affleck. He died on Friday evening (June 16, 2017), at the age of 72, after a brief illness. He was a lovely, kind, humble man with a wonderful sense of humour who readily gave of himself including the role he played in OAJA over the years. It was always a pleasure to look across a Board meeting or a GMM to see his solid presence. He will be much missed. His wake took place on the following Tuesday and his funeral mass on the Wednesday, in Pembroke and Petawawa Ontario.
